They like fairly bright light and will grow fast during the summer months.
 
They prefer the soil to be more on the dry side than wet, water fairly infrequently and always from the bottom. Avoid getting the beads wet as much as possible. Beads starting to shrivel is a good indication that they are ready for a drink.
