Aeschynanthus

These plants are found in tropical and subtropical areas where their trailing stems and bright flowers add interest to the surroundings. They are very easy care and are perfect for hanging planters and shelves. They prefer warmer temperatures and should be kept away from draughts.

When mature the vines can reach lengths of almost a metre! The flowers can last up to a few weeks but try to avoid moving the plant when it is in flower.

Growing Conditions:

​

Light: Bright to moderate.

Temperature and humidity: Warm. Moderate to high humidity.

Feeding: Fortnightly. Occasionally in winter.

Watering: When compost surface is dry. Allow to dry during dormant winter months t encourage new blooms.

Propagation: Cuttings.
