Alocasia

Alocasia plants originate from tropical and subtropical Asia and Eastern Australia. These perennial plants grow from rhizomes which can be separated for propagation - this is best done in spring and early summer.

These large leafed plants have arrow or heart shaped leaves. The veins are often contrasting to the main leaf colour. The leaves are thick and vary from waxy to velvet textures.

Alocasia's are NOT pet safe.
