Philodendron

Philodendrons have some of the most striking and unpredictable leaf patterns of the plant world. Some are crinkly, others smooth and wide with some having a velvet texture. For the variegated Philodendrons, each leaf is a suprise in contrastings colours ranging from pink to yellow to red to white. Originally native to the Caribbean and South America they can now be found in Asia.

Growing Conditions:

Light: Bright to moderate, avoiding direct sun.

Temperature and humidity: Moderate to warm. Moderate to high humidity.

Feeding: Fortnightly. Monthly in winter.

Watering: Water when compost surface just dry.

Propagation: Tip cuttings.
