Popular houseplant that is fairly easy going and holds a presence. 
 
These plants like bright light and will tolerate direct sunlight. In shadier conditions they will grow more slowly. 
 
As with most houseplants, do not leave siting in water, water when the top of the soil is dry.
Humidity is not an issue with this plant and will cope with drier air. 
 
These make great gifts due to their longevity and ease of care.
